Volunteer Riding

“If your horse says no, you either asked the wrong question, or asked the question wrong”
~Pat Parelli

We offer to volunteers (who volunteer 5 or more hours per week) the opportunity to ride in a lesson at a greatly reduced fee.
Sign-up sheets are posted on the Therapeutic barn wall.
Volunteers are required to put in a minimum of 5 hours prior to each lesson they are signed up for in order to ride at this reduced fee.
Presently, the volunteer riding lessons are Sundays at 5:00 pm.
Your instructor, Johnny, will assign you which horse to ride.
We suggest arriving at least 45 mins prior to the time of the lesson in order to properly groom and tack your horse in time for your lesson.

There is a 24 cancellation policy. If you can’t be on site to cross your name off the list, please call Johnny directly and let him know (in advance).

Please dress to ride! That means boots with heels, long pants, hair tied back. No tennis shoes, shorts or sandals.

Please note that all volunteers who want to ride in these lessons must be able to groom, tack, and mount a horse independently.
